The absolute majority of the Congress of Deputies rejects the first attempt to invest Núñez Feijóo
The leader of the Popular Party, Núñez Feijóo, was defeated in this first round of voting, in which he received 172 votes in favour and 178 against. He did not gain a single new vote, only those who had already pledged their support voted for him. On Friday 29th the second round of voting will take place, which he will also probably lose, which will lead to a failure in his attempt to govern Spain on this occasion.
From that moment on, Pedro Sánchez will have the opportunity to try to form a government.
