The Environmental Prosecutor's Office has agreed with us and we want to appear in the case of ecological crime against the TERSA incinerator. AIRENET, a non-profit association, concerned about the environmental pollution generated by polluting industries located at the mouth of the Besós River (Barcelona), wants to appear in the criminal case that the Public Prosecutor's Office has opened, echoing our complaint, it has filed for an ALLEGED CRIME AGAINST NATURAL RESOURCES AND THE ENVIRONMENT, denouncing the President and the Head of Operation of the TERSA public incinerator.
Motivation and who the project is aimed at
Raising our voices, making visible the abuses of industries and administrations ends up being the subsidiary function that we, the residents of polluting infrastructures, assume. For years we have woken up and we want to continue standing as tenacious witnesses that influence the course of events that the administration itself is valid. Facts that immerse us in total helplessness regarding our health and the contamination of our environments.

The Airenet association has been working at the community level since 2017. Its objective is to close the TERSA incinerator. The 20 associations that make up Airenet agreed on this horizon: to fight against an industrial plant that is poisoning neighbors.
Since that moment, different awareness-raising, dissemination, political dialogue and alliance actions have been carried out with other related organizations such as Ecologistas en Acción, the Zero Waste platform, etc. Educational actions have been carried out in schools and training centers. Technical support and advice has been provided to neighborhood and school entities. We have been observing and reporting other polluting events such as soils, beaches, waters, noise.
We think that adding the synergy of everyone has made many take control and take the step to defend their environment.
